We are delighted to confirm that the Wycombe Film Studios scheme we designed together with our client Stage Fifty was unanimously approved by Buckinghamshire Council Strategic Sites Committee yesterday.
High Wycombe will become a global film and high-end TV production hub with eight sound stages and a total of c. 295,000 sqft of high-quality production space. The proposal will support around 1,200 jobs, generate an estimated £305m economic output (GVA), and provide young people with training opportunities.
A significant amount of thought and care went into planning the operational layout, along with the design and appearance of the campus, so it was fantastic to receive recognition from both the Planning Department and the Councillors on the high-quality and sustainably designed proposal.
Wycombe Film Studios is a wonderful opportunity for the local area, and we are excited to help take the project through to the next steps, with construction estimated to be completed within the next 18 months.
