A bespoke family dwelling to replace a chalet bungalow in Berkshire.
TP Architects were appointed to assist the client with the project as they had been unable to establish a planning consent. The site, situated in the Metropolitan Green Belt, restricts replacement dwellings in floor area and volume. As the existing dwelling is a chalet bungalow, the Local Authority had resisted the client’s previous attempts of adding further first floor accommodation.
Acting as a lead consultant we achieved planning consent for a two storey dwelling with a 59% increase in floor area over the existing dwelling.
We are currently progressing the tender package with a view to starting on site in early 2020.
