This sumptuous family home, designed in the classical regency style and set in three acres of landscaped grounds, followed a competition with some of the biggest names in UK architecture. The solution involved a strategic planning approach to optimise permitted development rights for the client.

The main house is built from Bath stone with hand carved classical detailing, fine sash windows and curved bay doors set back from a stone colonnade. A neo-classical lodge and garage, pavilion, swimming pool and terraces complement the building.

The interior is exquisitely executed with rich classical styling throughout including marble floors, oak and walnut paneling, fine plasterwork and specialist decorative finishes. A feature staircase links the ground floor reception rooms to six en-suite bedrooms, while the basement provides informal recreational accommodation including an indoor pool, fitness centre, simulated golf room and recording studio.

The design solution utilizes a structural steel frame to allow the maximum flexibility for the interior layout and to fast track the construction process. Sustainable features include concealed solar panels, rainwater harvesting and air source heat pumps to provide the energy for under floor heating.
